Hidden-Gem Archive, Part 3: Entries 31–40

Part 3 contains ten games: entries 31–40 of the 2025 archive. The full series retains 50 historical numbers, not 50 current recommendations: entry 14’s buying recommendation is withdrawn in Part 1, leaving 49 recommended entries. Here the selection shifts from Part 2’s narrative RPGs and platformers toward puzzles, survival, and exploration-led action.

The following is editorial analysis drawn from the Spanish selection and publisher descriptions, not a claim that the English editor played or completed these games. Official store records were checked on October 7, 2026. Historical review counts and promised update frequencies are deliberately omitted; neither establishes present-day quality or availability.

31. Railbound

Place, remove, and reroute railway tracks so carriages reach a locomotive without colliding. Track switches, tunnels, and timing obstacles make it a logic-puzzle game, not a railway business simulator. It is the best starting point here if you want to reason about a compact board instead of reacting quickly.

The gentle drawings should not be confused with uniformly easy puzzles. The publisher distinguishes the main path from more demanding optional branches and now lists a level editor. Start with the main route rather than judging your progress by optional completion. Official Steam page.

32. Friends vs Friends

An online shooter where a card-based loadout can change the rules of a fight. The current store describes duels, team formats, and private matches, plus bots for practicing combinations. Choose it if you want aiming and deck decisions together, especially with friends who can arrange a match.

This is competitive PvP, not cooperative adventuring, and not a browser game. A live store listing cannot guarantee matchmaking population or latency in your region. The Spanish article’s relaxed tone and claim of several updates each month should not be taken as current service promises. Official Steam page.

33. Juicy Realm

A roguelike shooter in which mutated fruits upend the food chain. The cartoon enemies give its repeated combat runs a different identity from darker dungeon crawlers. Pick it if shooting and trying another run matter more to you than a lengthy plot.

The Spanish selection favored its approachability, but that is an editorial judgment, not a guarantee that every player will find it easy. No ultrawide performance or compatibility claim is made here without a tested configuration. Official Steam page.

34. Cult of the Lamb

Building a community of followers is paired with expeditions into hostile regions. That split is the key purchasing decision: choose it if managing the home community sounds as interesting as fighting outside it. It is a weaker match if you want uninterrupted combat runs with no settlement responsibilities.

Its cute animals accompany cult imagery and dark themes. Treat this as a management-and-action hybrid, not simply a cozy farming game, and check content descriptions before recommending it to a younger player. Official Steam page.

35. F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch

A Metroidvania combining exploration, combat, and platforming in an industrial world. Its large mechanical fist and other equipment give it a different visual and fighting identity from a sword-based fantasy adventure. Choose it if interconnected exploration and action are both priorities.

The Spanish piece had reservations about reading routes through visually busy environments. That is useful as a selection caveat, but not presented as our own test result. If you primarily want straightforward stage progression, Kraino Origins in Part 2 is a more focused alternative. Official Steam page.

36. Rain World

A slugcat must hunt enough food while also avoiding larger predators in a broken ecosystem. This makes vulnerability and reading other creatures central to the premise: you are not simply the strongest thing moving through a sequence of levels.

Choose it for survival and an unfamiliar world that does not revolve around your comfort. It is not the same kind of recommendation as Railbound’s orderly puzzles, nor a default relaxing animal game. Repeated setbacks are a meaningful consideration if you prefer clear guidance and steady progress. Official Steam page.

37. Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom

A colorful action-adventure connected to the Wonder Boy tradition. Its transformations provide a reason to revisit and reinterpret obstacles rather than treating every encounter as another damage check. It is relevant if you want exploration and character abilities in a brighter world than Rain World.

Bright presentation does not remove platforming and puzzle demands. This is the pick for players who want an extended action-adventure, not a passive cartoon or a multiplayer party game. Official Steam page.

38. Pharaoh Rebirth+

Jonathan travels through Egypt collecting seven holy grails to lift a curse. The quirky characters and archaeological setting offer a different tone from the solemn worlds often associated with exploration platformers.

Choose it if a recognizable quest and humor appeal more than a bleak survival setting. The Spanish article praises its pacing, but no completion time, guaranteed ease, or sequel promise is inferred from that opinion. Official Steam page.

39. Pronty

Pronty and the javelin partner Bront defend the underwater city of Royla from mutated sea creatures. Combat built around a separate partner makes this an interesting alternative to the sword and fist games above, while the underwater setting connects exploration to environmental decay.

It is a fit for players who want another action-heavy interconnected adventure. Do not pick it solely for gentle sea imagery: fighting hostile creatures is a core part of the game. Official Steam page.

40. Death’s Door

A crow employed to collect souls pursues a stolen assignment into a realm untouched by death. Its premise gives exploration and fighting a dryly comic frame, making it a useful bridge between dark fantasy and more approachable visual storytelling.

The Spanish selection’s main reservation was navigation and repeated searching early on. Readers who dislike retracing routes should weigh that caveat against their interest in action and secrets. This page does not reproduce late-game plot details or claim a tested completion time. Official Steam page.
