How to Read This Selection
Originally a 2026 preview, this page was substantively reviewed on 7 October 2026. It now uses a shorter selection with official sources instead of filling ten slots with unsupported names or platform assumptions. This is not a hands-on ranking or an exhaustive release calendar. Dates below are publisher announcements; check your regional store before purchasing.
Resident Evil Requiem: Survival Horror
Capcom’s official site identifies Requiem as the ninth mainline entry. Consider it if horror is your preferred alternative to a sprawling RPG. This overview does not establish measured audio quality, performance or the final campaign’s pacing; consult the publisher’s platform-specific product information.
Nioh 3: Demanding Action RPG
Team Ninja gives a 6 February 2026 release date. Its samurai and ninja approach gives action-system enthusiasts a reason to investigate it. That is an editorial selection rationale, not proof that loot is generous or that particular co-op dungeons exist as previously claimed in the Spanish list.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword: Samurai Revival
The correct name is Way of the Sword, not “Sword of the Samurai.” Capcom’s announcement gives 4 September 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, with Miyamoto Musashi in a dark-fantasy Edo-era Kyoto. We have not verified every regional unlock time. Read the game information for the date correction.
Forza Horizon 6: Driving in Japan
Playground Games announced 19 May 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. It is not merely a PC launch with unspecified console plans. A regional Steam date should not replace the publisher’s calendar. Japan is the thematic reason to investigate it; we do not promise unverified AI improvements or particular ray-tracing behavior. Other platform releases need their own confirmation.
The Blood of Dawnwalker: Choices with a Cost
Bandai Namco announced 3 September 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Coen’s family rescue and his position between human and vampire give the RPG a distinct premise. Our editorial reading is that it may suit players who enjoy consequential decisions, not that we have completed its campaign. Read the game information.
Grand Theft Auto VI: A Future Date, Not a Review
Rockstar’s page announces 19 November 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its synopsis follows Jason and Lucia into a criminal conspiracy across Leonida. That source does not establish a PC release, dynamic economy or weather-dependent mission design. We do not repeat those older claims as facts or recommend a preorder on the strength of them.
Removed Claims and Scope
Atomic Heart 2 is not retained as a guaranteed 2026 release. “Bloodstained: Crimson Oath” was an unsupported name; correcting a name does not automatically verify a release date or mechanics. WAILS is not treated as a confirmed console release here. Slay the Spire 2 and Subnautica 2 require their own platform and Early Access qualifications, so they are not filler for a ten-game console calendar.
